i used epoxy to catch a large rattle in a driver head. each time i reshaft it the heat breaks down the epoxy and the rattle is back. if i keep adding epoxy, the swingweight will become too heavy. is there a way to remove/melt the hard to reach epoxy? thanks.

You could heat the head in say an oven inside an aluminum pan. Position the hosel down so the melted epoxy would run down the hosel and into the pan. If you were to get lucky and have it work as described, you still have the problem with the loose weight / rattle.
Try adding cotton to solidify the rattle as it will not add much weight at all.
