Want to build a 2nd set of irons. Currently using Cobra S9's, and I don't want to build a set that are identical.

I know the biggest difference between these 2 is the amount of offset, along with the smaller head. However the Pro's look like there is quite a bit of forgiveness.

How important is offset to someone who.....hits their irons very high, gets good distance (150 yard 9 iron), has no problem with distance control, struggles with accuracy ( LH and misses are pushed to the left) and who occasionally hits their irons fat.

Checked the specs and the XK's are MORE offset than the Cobra's but the sole is 7mm less and the blade length is 6mm less.

Why are the soles on the Pro iron wider than the XK's?

Thank you

To answer your question, since the tendency is to push or fade the ball with the S9's, go with the standard XK's. The extra offset should help. You might even have your lie checked as you might need the clubs more upright or the flex and/or weight of the shafts might not be a good fit for you. As far as hitting the ball fat, double check the length is not too long as you can always choke down to check if this helps.

The sole with of the Pro is only negligibly wider than the standard XK, but I would not call is wide.
