This has been my first attempt at clubmaking and I've learned quite a few lessons. Usually by my mistakes! I've still got a lot to learn but it has been fun. I've cracked a new shaft (attempting to find the spine, I think I broke it), used the wrong size ferrules, punched the bottom out of a hosel and created a rattle, and I still am working on getting the luster right on the ferrules after turning them (it doesn't take much acetone).
I am tall and wanted some clubs fit to my size. I live in a rural area so there aren't many golf dealers nearby. The ones I visited kept trying to sell me something to reduce inventory so I decided to give it a try myself. I have most of the tools already or can improvise. I came across this website while doing an internet search and ordered the catalog. I liked the Dynacraft Avatar hybrids so I ordered those and started out. What I have been most impressed about is the technical support offered by the company. Jeff has answered my questions and guided me along the way. Thank you very much! Soon I will finish my Avatar hybrids, woods, and driver and plan to build something else. I made them for myself with no interest in commercial clubmaking. I just wanted to share my experience and give my appreciation to Jeff and Hireko. They are first class!!
