Any thoughts to producing a heel-shafted mid-mallet putter in the style of the XG #9?

It kills me that the only one I've seen is from Snake Eyes, and it's not available in LH. You'd think with Mickelson using that style putter in the last few years, component makers would be all over it.

Incidentally, a quick search of XG #9 completed listings in ebay show that LH models go for quite a bit higher than RH models.

These are pretty close if you are looking for heel-shafted mid mallet designs. The bottom two are available in LH:

Fist one is close in shape. But it's zinc and is way underweight. And no Mickelson fan would ever mistake those with this:

I think an Acer MC 5 (or 9) is in order. LH and RH models at 350-355 grams. Sell for $24.95. That would be sweet.

yEven Scotty is prepping their own clone version. But you'd be the only component maker with a LH model and a cast, lower cost model. Any other forum readers agree?

I would even give up my old Dynacraft Dyna-Tech 1 LH putter. I've used it for the past 15 years.

Cool, GaryJ. Is that the old 8802-style Putter? It's already nearly impossible to find those in component form in LH!

Yes, it is the 8802 style. I am assuming you have seen the Yes Golf Sophia model putter. It is 340 grams and available LH in 33", 34", 35"

GaryJ, I have. Used to really want a Sophia. But after I tried the XG #9 (White Hot and Black Series i), I really like the mid-mallet look and size. There's also the Wilson Staff 8876 and the Yes! Nicky. Only thing about those is they are in-hosel w/ ferrule designs.

Hard to justify the price of the White Hot XG #9 being that it's a cast putter.

Acer MC 9 Please!
