Jeff.... I have been using a set of Dynacraft PC3+ irons with SK Fiber TT80 reg shafts. Love them. Picked up a set of Ping G5 irons with TFC graphite shafts in reg. and love the club head feel but the Pings are a good club short in distance compared to the PC3+s. Question......if I reshaft the G5's with SK Fiber shafts will I re-gain that distance to equal the PC3's or are the G5's just designed to be shorter distance clubs. The lofts appear to be similar....so I'm guessing it must be the shafts......the SK Fiber TT 80's have a nice kick that the TFC's just don't have. Any advice about whether or not to try re-shafting my Pings would be appreciated. Thanks!

The best advise I can give is to re-shaft one club first that you know the distance well. The Pings are taper tip. But it may not take much re-boring to be able to put the parallel tip Tour Trac 80 shaft into those heads as the more current Ping's hosels are larger than most .355" tapered hosels.
