Jeff, A Callaway FT-1 Fusion was brought in for re-shafting. The shaft is broken off flush with the top of the hosel. Am I correct in assuming that the ferrule would be the standard Callaway .350 ferrule?
Also do you recommend placing wet paper towels over the joint of the cup face and the carbon body of the head to act as a heat sink?
If you have any other tips they would be appreciated.
Regards,

Bob:
A wet paper towel is not going to protect the club from heat. You would need something a little more substantial like Cool Gel that you may find from a local welding supply company. Your best bet is simply to step drill the shaft out of their thermoplastic ferrule. You can drill the hosel to accept a .335" instead of going all the way to .350". The ferrule is the same as you see on all their latest models.
