I just ordered a set of these hybrid heads for the GF. She hits her driver, 3,5 and 7 woods just fine but is struggling a bit with her irons. I will be getting the 5 thru sw in these heads. I am most concerned about how the sw hybrid will perform in the sand. Will they play like a standard sw iron where you can lay the face open or is there some adjustments she will have to make when hitting a sw hybrid from sand?

Laying the club open may not be the best advise as these would better played with the face square to the target. A narrower soled clubs would be easier to make that shot. You can always add a standard SW as the loft of the PP Select 5000 is 52*.
