Is there anyway I can pull a graphite shaft from my driver and save it? I don't have a machine to do that with and thought maybe I could heat it slowly with butane and gently force it with a small pry bar at the same time. My clubs I ordered will be here today. I ordered different heads and shafts to find something similar to my X-22's.

A special pry bar for graphite shaft removal can be successfully used if you are careful and the driver doesn't have a special type hosel or insert. You will need a good shaft clamp and vise to secure the club. Leave about 1/4" between the top of the hosel and the side of the vise so the pry bar can slide into that area while you apply your pressure. Take your time heating - maybe 20 seconds initially and then check to see if the clubhead will come off straight. If not, heat a 5 second intervals and use the pry bar each time until you get the head off the shaft.

Don't use gentle force as it does require some amount of force to remove the clubhead. Inspect the shaft after removal before putting into another head. It may help to put the tip on the ground and deflect the shaft to make sure the tip doesn't collapse or break. Also, check the tip diameter as the shaft you removed from your driver may be larger than the club you are trying to put it into.

Disregard the part about pulling the shaft. I found it on your website and will try the sand pot method. I know the shaft can't touch the sides but do you submerge the entire hosel and some of the shaft?

Make sure that the sand does not touch the sand. Don't worry, the heat will transfer up the hosel.
