I am looking to build a set for my nephew who is 8 yrs and average size and weight. Would the head be a little heavy for a junior set? I would be using the Apollo shadow jr or one of the tour series jr shaft. Thanks in advance

With kids getting bigger these days, they may not be too heavy. But to ensure they aren't, I don't think I would make them much longer than what he really needs instead of making them longer to allow him to grow into them.

Jeff,
I'm assuming these are currently just out of stock not discontinued?

I am afraid those irons were discontinued after the end of last year and no longer are in the current catalog / product line.

Got the Mantara heads and the Apollo Jr shaft. They seem a little heavy for the shafts. Should I trim them to the specs listed. I am afraid that he may not be able to control them as the shaft is real flexable. Thanks in advance

Those are very flexible shafts, but make sure to tip them as suggested and hopefully that and cutting them to the shorter length will make them controllable.
