Is it possible? I've got a ping 355 hybrid that I want to put a proforce v2 hybrid shaft in but they only come in 335 and 370 tips.

Can you use a shim? Or a 335 - 350 ferrule converter plus a shim?

You are best off to re-bore the hosel to accept the .370" shaft. There aren't any shims designed to take up the space between a .335" wood shaft and .355" taper tip iron/hybrid shaft.

Thanks for the reply, so not even a brass shim would work?

What about a 350 shaft into 355, is that possible?

How much can shafting beads help?

I wouldn't try to use a brass shim in this situation as I would be afraid of the head coming loose from the shaft and hitting a fellow golfer. Shafting beads are designed to to take up slack when you have a few thousandths of an inch of play. Remember, a .355" tapered hosel is only .355" at the bottom of the hosel. It may be very well close to .368" at the point it exits the hosel. This is the reason that re-boring the hosel is your best bet.

Thanks, why would Ping make a line of hybrids that are 355 when most graphite hybrid shafts are 335 or 370, they have the Proforce v2 as a stock shaft, would they bore the hosel?

Most companies treat hybrids like irons. All of Ping's irons require .355" taper tip shafts so they are being consistent. Plus when you are buying tens of thousands of shafts from a manufacturer with their name on it, they will make any tip size you request.
