Re-shaft guidelines for TaylorMade CGB Max

Wow, my first post. Be gentle with me.

I've been assembling clubs for about a year now. Almost exclusivly clones with either a standard hosel of .335, .350 or .370. I just purchased a used TM CGB Max (.350) and I want to put in a new shaft. From my initial research, it looks like I need a special ferrule/adapter for the TM head. My questions are:
1) what's the best way to get the old shaft out of the head?
2) is there any way to re-use the old ferrule/adapter?
3) If I cut off the exposed part of the ferrule (like I would in a 'normal' head), will I then be able to use my Maltby Enhanced shaft puller and my heatgun like I would on a clone? Or is there a better way to remove the shaft?
If I've forgotten to ask any questions that you think would be helpful with this project, feel free to add any information you think would be a benefit.

The procedure to remove the shaft is no different from what you have done in the past. Here is a link that might help:
http://www.hirekogolf.com/hireko/graphics/orderportal/articles/graphiteremoval.html

You won't be able to save the ferrule as the heat will melt it. Yes, there is a special ferrule/adapter to reduce the hosel size down to .335" so you have more shaft choices.

Sincerely,

Jeff Summitt
