Hybrid Demos

Good morning Jeff,
I have been getting a lot more inquires for "full set hybrids" lately and I am trying to decide which to demo. Reading the reviews I am a little gun shy. I have narrowed my choice to 3 sets but favor only two.
I favor the XDS Wide Sole and the PP Select 5000 the XMOI looks great but I don't know how many golfers would like to deal with head covers.
I would appreciate your input and evaluation of these three sets.
My customer base age group is 60-75 with handicaps of 12-22. The local Cape Cod courses are basically open with 3" rough and rolling terrain
Thanks
Bob

Bob:

Regardless of the model, the customers will need to keep head covers on in order to avoid scratching the paint as they band against one another in the bag.

The Acer XDS WS are large in the longer clubs or about the size of fairway woods. They will be forgiving but will appear large at the shorter assembly lengths. The Power Play Select 5000 have been perennial favorites for 4 years now. The size is the same throughout the set. The XMOI may be my personal favorite among the 3 because they will set up more like iron and look more traditional when you get to the scoring clubs.

Jeff Summitt

Re:Hybrid Demos

2 years ago on another golf forum, someone turned me on to the XDS Wide sole hybrids. Since the price was right, I ordered a 22* built with an Apollo Shadow Steel in stiff flex. I absolutely fell in love with it. Back then I had only been golfing for about 6 months and my swing wasn't the best. This club was so easy to hit. I ended up ordering a 19* and 25* head and building them up myself with the same shaft. In the past year and a half every club has been changed out in my bag, except for the hybrids.

They are for people that don't have the confidence or hit traditional irons well. The full set provides the various lofts to be able to hit full shots and achieve different distances.

Jeff Summitt
