Hogan shaft replacement

I need to replace a bent shaft on a Hogan forged club.On the sole is an E and the word Edge. Number on the ferrule is DD9986. Sticker on shaft says Hogan Apex 4. I was told it was a stiff shaft. What do I use for a shaft? Can the ferrule be saved? How much does the shaft get tipped?
Is this a tapered shaft ?

It is taper tipped, so any shaft that is purchased will not be tipped. The closest shaft would most likely be a True Temper Dynalite Gold S300 in the shortest raw length available.

Jeff Summitt
