Club Making?

I am about ten years away from retiring, this sounds like a very interesting skill. How does one start? Is their information on Hireko's website? Are there seminars? How much does it cost to start making clubs? What tools are needed?

Thanks.

If you are looking to get into clubmaking, then the first thing I would suggest is getting a good reference book, like the one we sell. http://www.hirekogolf.com/hireko/orderportal/catalog

There are many ways to build clubs with manual and motorized equipment so it is impossible to say exactly how much it would cost to start up because you might already have a number of tools to get started. The book will explain the different options to cut, sand, measure, etc. so you can start to build your list.

We also conduct webinars on clubmaking. The next one is this Thursday. But you can view them at: http://support.hirekogolf.com/services/free-online-golf-webinars/. The best part they are free.

Jeff Summitt

I remember when I first built my own clubs about 10 years ago, the only few things I bought from Dynacraft at that time were: a rubber shaft clam (I am still using it today!), 2 part epoxies, and a role of water solube grip tape. The rest of the tool I have or I can find in the local store for a basic need to build my own clubs.
