Golf Tips Editors Pick Award for Power Play Warp Speed IronGolf Tips Magazine gave The Power Play Warp Speed Irons an Editor's Pick award in their 2013 Annual Buyer's Guide. Golf Tips said "Wow factor: A crazy low price for a set of irons as good as more, ahem, expensive irons we've tried."

The Warp Speed irons were specially designed to propel the ball faster and further than ever before, featuring a high C.O.R. face for the ultimate in distance. Although distance is very important in an iron design, accuracy plays an even more prominent role and the Warp Speed delivers here as well. Progressively designed, the #3 and #4-iron possess a wider body to react much like a cross between modern day hybrids, utility or driving irons for ease of play. The #5 iron and down on into the wedges appear much like a normal iron design at first glance. However, there is actually an open space between the rear wall and the unsupported, super thin specialty face insert, which is devised to flex the face like a titanium driver to maximize ball speed and distance. The undercut channel further moves weight back away from the face as well as low for added stability.

Body constructed of 431 stainless steel and face of specialty 420 stainless; bendable. 5-iron blade length 86mm, 5-iron sole width 21mm

      • From JULIUS HOEFLING at 7/11/14 7:27 PM
        • Is this line discontinued? I have a 6 iron and SW back ordered. I noticed since I submitted my order a couple of weeks ago that more heads are out or in short supply.
        • Julius,

There are no plans of discontinuing this line anytime soon. We were expecting the shipment to arrive this past Friday, but is was delayed and they won't be in stock until 7/18.

        • Mike,

These, like our other irons and wedges, use modified U-grooves.

      • From Tom at 5/24/14 8:00 AM
        • I'm left handed and would like to try the warp speed irons. So could I get an rough
time line when they will be made in left hand. If over a year what other iron would
you recomend for older golfer, likes to hit mid height shots and hit 7 iron 150 yds.
        • Tom,

With short life spans of products today, if you don't see a LH product available right away, there is little chance a LH model will be made in the future. With that said, the closest iron in terms of ball flight, size, offset, etc. would be the Acer XS.

      • From Mark at 3/27/14 4:47 PM
        • When will the Power Play Warp Speed 7, 8, & 9 iron heads be available again?
        • Mark,

          ETA is April 2nd.

      • From John at 3/13/14 6:27 AM
        • I currently hit a 21 degree hybrid and have good results. Will the 3 iron be as easy to get the ball up in the air as that hybrid. Would the center of gravity be as low as a hybrid. I gave up my 3 iron years ago because I could not get it air born and was loosing distance. If this preforms much like a hybrid I might give it a shot.
        • John,

It all depends on what type of hybrid you are using now and how much shallower or broader it is than this model as those are factors (aside from loft) that alter the trajectory.
