      • I am looking a few new wedges. I was thinking a 54,60 and a 64. or something around there. My wedges I use now I don't seam to get to much loft or spin and I cant spend to much money on new clubs, but I do want a good consistent club. I have Taylor burns irons and love them. Thanks for the help
      • Steve,

How high you hit the ball is a function of loft, your angle of attack, solidness of contact relative to the clubs' CG, shaft and flex. Some of those things are beyond our control, but one you can look at is maybe matching the shaft and flex of what you have in your Burner irons. If I knew what you had, I can probably suggest a suitable shaft.

Spin if a function of several different things as well. Course condition and solidness of contact are primary issue, much more than the difference between grooves. I would be more concerned with the loft and gapping first. If you start hitting the ball higher, then spin might take care of itself.
