This lightweight, high launching shaft design is well suited for lower ball hitters seeking maximum peak trajectory. The responsive tip section of the Dynalite Gold XP (extra performance) provides incredible feel while promoting increased initial launch.
Questions on True Temper Dynalite Gold XP
- From Roger at 4/9/13 8:38 PM
- I need to replace some Hogan Apex 4 shafts and want to soft step the set. Would the Dynalite SL stiff shafts equate in flex to a soft stepped Dynalite stiff? Or would the be the same, with the SL being only lighter in weight?
- Roger,
The SL has a lower frequency, as it should since it is a lighter shaft. The reduced flex comes out of the butt end as the tip section is just as stiff as the Dynalite Gold XP. That is a tough call on where the cross over actually is amongst these two different shafts. If you are trying to save weight, go with the SL in S-flex without soft-stepping and put on in a mid-iron to give it a good test. If it feels too stiff, you can always move that one shaft to a shorter iron and simply sacrifice a grip to make sure you are dialed in. The safer bet will be the Dynalite Gold XP though to the current set of shafts. - Do you find this question helpful? Yes No
