Dynacraft Avatar XMOI Driver

Introducing the new Dynacraft Avatar XMOI driver. Our design aim was to create a driver that possessed the highest moment of inertia (MOI) implemented to date. From the first detailed initial drawings begun at the end of last year, to CAD, to the first sample received back in the early part of summer ’08, we produced a head that had an MOI of over 5400g-cm2. We could have stretched the MOI close to the highest allowable limit, but we wanted to maintain the normal 200g head weight we use on our other driver models.

The extra large face area is augmented by a taller face height than most high MOI drivers on the market today and it will boost even more confidence off the tee. We exploited the full potential of the size as it looks larger than any other driver in our line to provide for the maximum stability on off-center shots. In addition, the Avatar XMOI driver produces both a pleasing sound at impact and brilliantly sculpted traditional shape which will be preferred by a wide range of golfers seeking maximum distance and accuracy. The Avatar XMOI fairway woods are designed differently from the typical fairway wood. Built to bridge the gap from the extra large driver to the matching transitional hybrids, the shapes of the Avatar XMOI fairways are proportionally sized. Normally as you progress from #3 wood to #5 wood, then #5 wood to #7 wood the volumes of ordinary fairways diminish because the height is lowered and they are more lofted to consume less volume. In general, the heel-to-toe and face-to-back dimensions are relatively the same throughout the set.

Hireko to a new approach to fairway wood design and made them progress larger to smaller in size from the 3-wood to the 7 wood. The 3-wood being the hardest to hit, it is the largest to provide maximum forgiveness. Then the 5 and 7 woods are gradually scaled down to provide more than enough forgiveness. The shallow face, coupled with our VCT (variable crown thickness) places weight low and deep within the head for superior results.

For most golfers, an extra large high-lofted fairway wood (like a #7 wood) appears too large at address. We decreased the size proportionately on the Dynacraft XMOI Fairways so they look the correct size and at the same time still provide more than adequate game improvement and cohesive appearance.

In addition to the variable size, the Avatar XMOI fairways feature our exclusive Variable VCT4Crown Technology (VCT) where the crowns are cast as little as 0.5mm thick. That’s equivalent to 5 sheets of paper! This allows all that unwanted weight to be repositioned deep within the head. By combining the sleek, lower profile and extreme moment of inertia, the new Dynacraft Avatar XMOI Fairway Woods provide incredible forgiveness, distance and length. Part hollow-bodied iron, part hybrid, the Dynacraft Avatar XMOI Hybrid is our first hybrid set to take on a truly progressive appearance throughout the set. For the weekend warrior who wants to improve their game this set perfectly integrates all the necessary tools to help them achieve that goal.

Most hybrid profiles continue the same profile throughout. To gain maximum effectiveness, however, the long irons should be wider soled for maximum forgiveness, and the short irons should be scalloped for effective short game play.

The #3 and 4 irons have a wider footprint sporting an increased breadth and shallow face. This positions the center of gravity much lower and more rearward within the design to give less skilled players added confidence and the ability to easily get the ball airborne and also increase solidness of contact.

	The mid-irons progressively become narrower (as less game improvement is required) and bridge the gap between a conventional iron appearance. The scoring clubs starting with the #8 look traditional at address. The additional loft beautifully hides the hollow-body but still helps to increase the moment of inertia.
The rounded toplines provide plenty of face area and raise the center of gravity enough to control the trajectory. The inclusion of three wedges provide for better course management by eliminating distance gaps.
