Tour Series Junior Shafts are specially designed for juniors and are a great alternative to cut-down shafts. A more flexible fiberglass composite provides the soft flex to help get the ball airborne.

    • Is there a recommended swing speed for this shaft? My 9 yr old son has a driver SS around 65 and would like to make sure the shafts would be viable at that speed and for 5 to 10 mph future growth. Thanks.
    • Garrett:

It is hard to nail down a swing speed range due to the possibilities of lengths, swingweights, etc., Plus if the players has a smoother tempo, they might be able to get away from a very flexible shaft compared to another child with the same speed but a shorter or quicker transition. With that said, if you are looking for growth, then I would look at some of the A&L combination graphite shafts for a longer term solution.

    • Is the wood shaft the 335 tip?
    • Correct, the wood is 0.335" and the iron 0.370".

    • Do the trim instructions come with the shafts? If not, could you e-mail them to me?
    • Rick,

On this product page, click on the tab above the description that says SPECIFICATIONS. On the far right you will see Trim Notes. If you click on the appropriate one, you will see a pop up box with the suggested tip trimming. However, we do not send them out with each order to conserve on paper/trees.

    • Would you recommend these shafts for the irons as well as woods/hybrids or should I go with a steel shaft for the irons? If yes on these shafts, when do you expect to have them in stock and need trim instructions.

    • Rick,

I do not have a date yet when these will be back in stock. These are for the younger junior players (typically 12 years old or under) who need lighter and much more flexible shafts than a ladies flex. I doubt you will find a steel shaft that will match well with the wood in terms of flex.

    • Want to trim this tour jr wood shaft to 34 inches
      Is it a tip trim?

    • Walter,

For a driver, all the excess length comes from the butt end. For a 3-wood, you would tip trim 1" and then butt trim to your final length.
