  • From Bob Woodrick at 3/4/2013 5:35 AM
    • I have a Power play X2 Driver. I am 5'7" so I have made this club 1" shorter than standard. I would like to add some lead tape to the club after reading the thoughts behind the Thriver. Hoe much does your lead tape weigh per inch.
How much would you reccommend. I was thingking of 10 g.

    • Bob,

That is correct. For 1", 10 grams will typically bring the swingweight back up to where it would at the longer length.

    • I want to increase the swing weight of my wedges from a D4 to a D5, what length tape will it take to accomplish this.
    • Mitch,

To change one swingweight, you will need approximately 4.5".

    • From the answers above I am still not sure about how much this tape weighs per inch. The first question noted that 10 grams was the right weight. How many inches of your tape would equal 10 grams?

    • WB,

You are looking at @ 2.25" to make 1 gram, so you would be looking at nearly 22" for 10 grams. It might seem like a lot, but the tape is thin and you can layer it on the club.

    • WHY NOT answer the first question from Bob, 3/4/13, accurately?
    • Richard,

It will take 10 grams of tape to make up the difference in 1" by shortening the shaft. That is going to equate to @ 22" of tape.

    • About how thick is the tape?
    • 2 Mil thickness
