    • What is the significant of zinc, is it softer????????????

    • Chi,

Zinc would be softer than stainless steel. The reason why it is used is for cost saving.

  • From Mike Scott at 4/21/2015 6:49 AM
    • How about the distance these irons can hit? As for example, can these zinc iron heads, say a # 5 iron, hit as far as a 431 stainless steel iron? Thanks
    • Mike,

It will depend upon what iron you are comparing it to and what the other components are. If you have the same shaft, flex, grip, grip size and length, then those are less variables to take into account. Plus you have to consider the loft and center of gravity of the head you are comparing it to. For instance the lofts are similar to many irons on the market today (but not all) as loft has a large bearing on distance. These do not have an undercut cavity that would be featured in most of our products so they may have as low or as rearward centers of gravity to improve trajectory and/or moment of inertia or the amount of forgiveness as any of our 421 stainless steel game improvement irons.

    • Can these be used with Junior shafts to make a fuller junior sets?
    • Nathan,

It can, but realize these will be heavier than a traditional junior set that was designed for those developing young bodies (usually 12 years old or less).
