The Acer XF is our latest generation of game-improvement irons to replace our ever-popular Acer XK line that was named Golf Digest's 2009 Best Value iron. More chiseled than its predecessor to garner more a dramatic appearance, we were able to push the center of gravity even deeper (1.4mm) and lower (0.2mm) for improved performance. Another way to put it is the XF stands for extra forgiveness. The non-glare topline has been beveled to provide a less chunky appear at address. The standard XF is designed to fit the broadest range of golfers with ample offset to help the player square up the face at impact enabling the player to hit both straight and solid shots as well as instill confidence in their game.

Are these grooves conforming with new regulations?

They incorporate the same grooves as the conforming Acer XDS React irons but have never been submitted to the USGA for an official ruling.

I'd like to hit my irons higher. Aside from swing changes, is this a function of shaft (flex/bend point) and/or iron design. If so what club head design and/or shaft would you recommend?

Bob,

Aside from swing mechanics, both the head and shaft can contribute to how high or low you might hit the ball. If you want to hit the ball higher, the Acer XF HT (High Trajectory) would be the better choice than the standard Acer XF iron. From a shaft standpoint, look for shafts labeled as high launching, low kick or bend point. This is a generality since I am not sure what head / shaft / flex you are using presently.

Some time back I purchased a 4 6 7 8 9 p of the XF irons, I assembled all but the 4 iron.I have been playing them and I really like them. Although I currently use a 4 hybrid, I thought I would make up the 4 and try it.
When I looked at it I noticed it said Hi Trajectory, went to your web site to see what the loft was. I was amazed to find out that there is no 4 ht listed, it has a 3 then it jumps to a 5. The only 4 I found on your site was a regular 4XF , no HT.

Do I have a one of a kind? Maybe worth a lot of Dinero

The XF 4-iron just sold out and we won't be reordering as we will retire this line. You can look at the Acer XV HT as it would be the newer version of this head.

Just bought Acer XF professional, should have bought a 9 and 8 also. How close is this club to the professional

The XF Professional will be more compact and have less offset than the standard version. You would be by far better getting the Acer XV Pro irons to match.

INTERNATIONAL

International shipping rates are determined by weight, dimension and zone. Please contact our customer support team for a quote. All orders from outside the United States must be pre-paid in US dollars and are subject to normal import duty, taxes and customs clearance charges in the destination country. MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES

Address Correction Fees

Hireko is not responsible for fees charged by Fedex, UPS, Post Office or other shippers in instances where the customer provides Hireko with incorrect ship to or bill to address information (Street, City, State, Zip Code, etc.). Shipper correction fees will be the responsibility of the customer and the customer will therefore be charged for such fees.

These correction fees are applicable on orders generated from the following sources: phone orders, internet, email, regular postal mail, fax, edi, or other electronic means.

 

WARRANTY

The manufacturer warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal use and conditions, for a period of one (1) year from the original invoice date. The manufacturer agrees, at its option during the warranty period, to repair any defect in material or workmanship or to furnish a repaired or refurbished product of equal value in exchange without charge. The customer is responsible for freight to Hireko to return the defective product. Hireko will return the replacement product (or returned product if not deemed under warranty) at no charge. Claims are subject to verification of the defect or malfunction. Submit clear pictures and proof of purchase confirmed by the original dated sales receipt for us to decide if the product will be covered under warranty prior to shipping your repair back to us for inspection. Products not purchased directly from Hireko or hirekogolf.com must be returned to the original retailer. Warranty claims may take up to 45 days to process from time of receipt.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Any condition resulting from other than ordinary residential wear or any use for which the product was not intended, such as use in rental or contract trade or commercial use.
  • Any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance or care.
  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, or accidents.
  • Product loss or theft
  • Any alterations made to the product not specifically intended by the product's design, including cosmetic and structural changes.
  • Dissatisfaction due to buyer’s remorse
  • Damages incurred during transportation.
  • Damages incurred during assembly or maintenance.
  • Clubhead dents anywhere except on the face of a club.
  • Shafts broken in the middle of the club.
  • Custom golf clubs ordered online cannot be returned if they do not fit the golfer; buyer assumes the risk when ordering.
  • Chipped paint or scuff marks
  • Clubhead cracks not made from clubface contact.
