Product Questions

Can U ship to Taiwan?
Question by: Sam on Mar 31, 2014, 2:13 AM
Yes
Answer by: Richard Lin on Apr 1, 2014, 2:04 AM
Hi, I have a UST Frequency Filtered putter shaft with a butt diameter of .580". According to the description, that says only for .590"-.600", these counterweights shouldn't fit mine. Even though the description says that, do you think these weights would barely fit into my putter shaft?
Question by: Steve on Jun 1, 2014, 6:17 PM
Steve,

If the ID of the butt end is 0.550" or greater they will fit. Anything smaller and they won't.
Answer by: Richard Lin on Jun 2, 2014, 6:06 PM
I have a 450 gram putter head and want to put a 38" shaft on it, how much should I counter weight it at at all.
Question by: jerry on Apr 3, 2014, 7:27 AM
Jerry,

Unfortunately there is no correct answer for that as each golfer will have a different preference for feel and performance. You will need to factor in the grip weight as well as that creates some counterbalance as well. If you had the same grip, but one that was split from a previous club, you can take that on and off and then interchange each of the different weights to see and feel which combination works best.
Answer by: Richard Lin on Apr 4, 2014, 7:04 AM
Any reason these could not be used in clubs other than a putter, assuming a .600 diameter?
Question by: Stuewe on Apr 27, 2014, 5:36 AM
They can be used in any 0.600 steel shaft but they may be extreme in terms of counterweighting an iron or wedge.
Answer by: Richard Lin on Apr 28, 2014, 5:04 AM
i can't tell from the picture.....but is there a lip that keeps the weight from sliding down the shaft? I would assume there has to be, but i was just curious about installation. Thanks!
Question by: Steve on Sep 8, 2013, 12:54 PM
Steve,

Yes, there is a lip at the top of the counterweight to prevent it from falling down inside the shaft.
Answer by: Richard Lin on Sep 9, 2013, 12:09 PM
Are these weights epoxied into the shaft or tightened with a hex key?
Question by: John on Oct 29, 2014, 3:17 AM
John,

To prevent any possible vibration, these should be epoxied into the steel putter shaft.
Answer by: Richard Lin on Oct 30, 2014, 3:10 AM
What is the diameter of the "lip" on the top of the weights?
Question by: Geoff on Jun 30, 2014, 4:43 AM
Geoff,

The OD is @ 0.605".

I have a taylor made daddy long legs putter II and I have read that the handle is about 130 grams. I have bought a Flatso 17" putter grip to replace the stock grip. I think it says it is 100g. So logically I'm thinking I need a 30 gram weight to make it the same swing weight as before. Would this be correct? Do you know if the stock shaft is .59 or .58 because I haven't removed the grip yet
Question by: Harold on Feb 16, 2015, 12:34 AM
Harold,

One would think that the 30 gram weight would make up the difference between grips, but it won't quite feel the same and here is why. The counterweight is concentrated in a 1-2" length at the very butt end of the shaft which is positioned just above your wrists. 30 grams of grip weight is spread over the entire length of the grip so it doesn't counterbalance as much as the counterweight. I believe the shaft has a 0.600" butt end, but you won't know for certain until you remove the grip.

I bought a 60 gram for my putter (Odyssey White Ice #3). I attempted to install it into the butt end of the shaft; however it will not fit. I tried hammering it into the shaft and was able to knock it down some but a large part still is hanging out the end. What can I do? I also can not get it out and will have to reshaft my putter now.
Question by: Mark R. on Oct 23, 2014, 2:59 PM
Mark,

Is there a step close to the butt end that is reducing the diameter and prohibiting the counterweight from seating correctly? What is the outside diameter of the shaft and how long does it remain parallel or that same dimension?

As far as removing it, spray the stem portion of the counterweight with WD-40 or 3-1 penetrating oil and let it sit for a while. Then you can put the head of the countersink in a vise and grab the head and try twisting it off.
