Which flex A/L or R/S is a senior flex
Question by: Thomas Mitchell on Mar 15, 2016, 8:06 PM
Thomas,

You will want to choose the A/L flex and then cut to the A-flex. A-flex is short for Amateur flex, but it is also known as Senior flex.

I am building a hybrid for my sister. I like the ACER graphite shafts. With a ladies flex for the 3 hybrid, would you recommend the Wood A/L or the Iron A/L. Also would you recommend the related ferules?

thanks,

Rick Lewis
Question by: RICK LEWIS on May 20, 2017, 2:25 PM
Rick,

It will depend on which hybrid you are using. All of our hybrids require a 0.370" (iron) shaft. There are very few hybrids made that required a 0.335" (wood) shaft.

I am purchasing two of the ACER graphite shafts to build two hybrid clubs. I am buying the Iron Hybrid shaft in both cases. Would you please recommend ferrules to use that I might include in my purchase?

thanks,

Question by: RICK LEWIS on May 21, 2017, 2:38 PM
Rick,

I would need to know the exact model you are using to be certain the answer is correct. When you mention "iron hybrird", if this happens to be our Power Play Select 500, then any of our standard iron ferrules will work. The most popular is the 1/2" black code FR1013-001.

So the Model # for the shafts I am purchasing:

GS10065L1 (A/L Iron and R/S Iron). Is it still the 1/2" FR1013-001?
Question by: RICK LEWIS on May 22, 2017, 10:30 AM
Rick,

Assuming it is one of our hybrids or another hybrid that requires a 0.370" shaft, then you would use the shaft model designed as an iron.

I have the shaft information you previously sent. I thank you for that. My question now is which Ferrule to use? And would the answer be the same for any ACER $9.95 Graphite Iron shaft? Thanks for your patience.
Question by: RICK LEWIS on May 22, 2017, 10:59 AM
Rick,

As long as it is one of our hybrids, then yes. We standardized hosel OD's on our irons and hybrids so they could use all of standard iron ferrules.

For the Juggernaut 3-hybrid and Acer Velocity A/L iron shaft, you will tip trim 0.5" for L-flex. Suggested playing length for women would be 38.5".

I can’t find out what the tip trim length is for the velocity silver wood shafts I just bought. Need to trip to the “A/Senior flex. 3 & 5 wood.

For senior flex, you would tip trim the Velocity wood shaft 2" for the 3-wood and 2.5" for the 5-wood.

I need Acer IAL shaft tipping instructions
Question by: Brian Torney on Aug 26, 2021, 8:26 PM
When you are this product page, scroll down to where the specifications are. On the far right you will see a column for Trim Code. For the iron, you will see two entries. For the L flex it will say IH7 and the A flex will be IH 10. If you click on the flex you want, it will hyperlink you to the trimming instructions. In lieu of that, you can go to this link and go directly to those charts.
