Could I use this as a putter shaft ?
Question by: randy on Jun 15, 2013, 7:16 PM
Randy,

Yes, as long as the putter requires a straight 0.370" shaft. Note the flex of a putter shaft would be as if you tip trimmed this shaft as a 9-iron in R-flex. If the shaft goes over a post, you will need to be careful to cut the shaft square (so it fits flush).

I am using this shaft with the Acer XK irons.
Std. club length for the irons says a 7Iron should be 37in.
The trim chart for the Shaft (Regular Flex) Says trim 2in.
The shaft is 40in. long, 2in. would make it 38in.
Which would be right?
Thanks

Darren,

You will still need to butt trim to length. Tip trimming is done for flex and account for head weight while butt trimming is done last to achieve your desired length.

Is the logo on this shaft painted, or is it a sticker that can be removed?
Thanks.
Question by: Steven on Nov 1, 2013, 7:32 AM
Steven,

The logo is a decal below the polyurethane coating and cannot be removed like a shaft label.

Is the logo only on one side of the shaft or is it wrapped all the way around?

Can you install the shaft logo down to hide it like you would do with a grip?
Question by: Nick on Nov 6, 2015, 4:40 PM
Nick,

It is only on one side and you can certainly turn the shaft so the logo is down if you do not want to see the silkscreen at address.

How similar do these shafts spec (launch / spin) and feel compared to KBS C-taper? Thanks in advance.
Question by: Ryan on Jun 4, 2016, 9:19 PM
Ryan,

Expect a little lower launch and spin with the C Tapers as they are more tip stiff, however you would would probably need to have a launch monitor to see the difference.

Are these shafts similar to the Apollo Steepless in stiffness and kick/flex point?
Question by: Jeff on Aug 25, 2016, 3:53 PM
Jeff,

They are the exact same shaft but with a special painted surface rather than the chrome plating.

Where can I find Trim chart for Apollo Steel Stepless Shafts on your web site, I have looked everywhere
Question by: George on Oct 9, 2016, 1:57 PM
George,

There are a couple places to access trimming instructions. One is our master list at this link:
http://www.hirekogolf.com/golf-shaft-trimming-instructions

However, the easiest is to go to the product page of the item you are using. There are a series of tabs above the description. Click on the one that says SPECIFICATIONS. On the far right you will see Trim Code. Click on the flex and it will hyperlink to a pop up box with the recommended tip trimming.

Question by: EARL STAGGS on Nov 30, 2020, 6:25 PM
Earl,

They are supposed to be arriving maybe this week. There have been delays at both the foundry and now the port for clearing containers through customs.

i have seen these sold in other sites and the tip trimming instructions are different. should i follow your site?
Question by: armando Garcia on Jan 11, 2023, 8:43 AM
We have had the same set of trimming instruction for Black Steel shaft since it was first introduced. If the trimming instructions on another site are different, then anything less that what we recommend, will end up being more flexible.
