How long is the blade on this tool and will it remove the longer grips. I have a grip that is 17" will this tool work for this type of grip.

Brad,
The blade is 11.5" long good for normal length grips. If you have a 17" long grip, most likely it is a synthetic grip and those are difficult to remove safely anyway due to their two-piece construction.
