The OD is @ 0.540"

There is no iron head numbered 8, which logically would be the 38 degree loft which is labelled #9. So the missing loft is 42, which is typically a 9 iron in a forged set progression of lofts.

Is this omitted by design or is this a error of some kind?

This model was discontinued a little more than a year ago and we no longer have any 8-irons.

The O.D. hosel measurement you noted as .540. What ferrule do you recommend?
