Turn your Dynacraft Bench Ruler Soleplate into an Accurate Swingweight Scale
THE MOST VERSATILE CLUBMAING TOOL AND MEASUREMENT GAUGE FOR YOUR SHOP YOU WILL EVER USE
If you have a good quality gram weight scale, you can adapt your Dynacraft Bench Ruler Soleplate (DBRPLATE) into an accurate swingweight scale. Follow these five easy steps and enter your figures into the world's most accurate on-line swingweight calculator.
(Please enter in these 2 measurements)
Club Weight (grams):
(Examples: 400, 400.7)
Balance Point (inches):
(Examples: 29, 29.25, 29.375)
............ ................
Swingweight (gram-inches):
STEP 1 Weigh your club on your gram weight scale.
STEP 2 Turn the DBRPLATE on its side with the bottom roll pins parallel to your workbench so the notch is pointing toward the ceiling. Next, slide your 48” ruler against the plate. Position both near the edge of the workbench as shown.
STEP 3 Place the club on top of the notch with the head overhanging the workbench. The goal is to balance the club so it is level with the workbench as shown. The more level the better the results.
STEP 4 Place an object (like the Dynacraft Ferrule Block) so it butts up against the end of the grip or the bare shaft (if un-gripped).
STEP 5 Note the edge of the object (closest to the DBRPLATE) on the 48” ruler and mark it down. For more accurate results use a ruler with 1/16” increments.
STEP 6 Input the results from Steps 4 and 5 into the Swingweight Calculator. For example, enter 405.3 grams and 29.06” (for 29 1/16”) and it will yield a swingweight of D1.
