Are these Vespar iron heads suitable for graphite shafts?

Thanks,
Roger
Question by: Roger Sunn on May 29, 2015, 9:35 AM
Roger,

Yes, they are suitable for 0.370" parallel tip graphite shafts. The key is to find a graphite shaft that suits the player for the correct weight, flex and bend point.

These look very similar to the Acer Reacts, which were very nice irons. What are the differences between the Vespa and the React irons?
Question by: John on Aug 10, 2015, 6:57 AM
John,

The Acer React irons were one of our most reviewed and beloved irons of the past. When we retired the line, we brought it back into the Synchron Vespa line. The only changes made were a new medallion was created and we removed the small step along the back of the flange. From a playability standpoint they will be exactly the same.

Frank,

Yes they can. It is fixed so you can have that option now.

Do you recommend a special graphite shaft for these irons?

Question by: V.J. on Jan 27, 2016, 8:39 AM
V.J.,

These take any 0.370" parallel tip shaft. Just make sure the weight (for tempo), stiffness (for strength) and bend point (for ball trajectory) are suited for your game.

I've read and heard a lot of great things about the Vespa irons (and the similar previous Acer React irons). I know that Hireko Golf does not produce "clones", but I can't help but notice that they resemble, and on other golf websites compared to, the Callaway Diablo Edge irons. I have a Diablo Edge 4 iron which I like very much, especially the wide sole which makes it very playable for a mid-handicapper like me. My Diable Edge 4 iron has a middle sole width of ~30 mm. Do the Vespa iron heads have a similar sole that I would be happy with, and saving me the much higher cost for a set of Callaway Diablo Edge irons? Thanks! Ed
Question by: Ed in NM on Jul 10, 2016, 1:01 PM
Ed,

The Vespa iron was the Acer XDS React previously with a new medallion and before that was Power Play System Q2 with a different back. So it has been a popular iron in our line for many years. The sole width on the 5-iron is 22 mm.
