Hello,
Is there an ideal hybrid SW?
I am considering your Acer XV 4 hybrid (21*) with Aerotech 80 (S) to complement my XR16 10.5 head w/ Claymore MX48 (S) and XR16 4metal w Speeder (S).
When frequency matching a hybrid, should it feel like a fairway, iron or in class of its own?
In this hybrid setup, can you tell me its approx. swing weight, launch and spin tendencies, and /or should I consider the UST Recoil ES 760 as another option to complement my irons?

Lots of questions here so I'll try to answer in order.
1. There is no "ideal" for everyone as each golfer has different tastes, swing tendencies and plays under course conditions.
2. The Aerotech i70 may be a better complement to the Claymore MX46 but the i80 wouldn't be out of the question.
3. Since this hybrid has a 0.370" tip, I would treat it more like an iron.
4. Impossible to answer your last question.

I have the XV driver. I would like a 4 wood. Since you only have 3 & 5, would a xv hybrid behave like a 4 wood. If so, which loft would you recommend.

The only 4-wood we offer is in the Acer XDS series.
Typically a #2 hybrid would be the equivalent of a 5-wood in terms of distance and we no longer offer a #1-hybrid which would be the equivalent of a 4-wood.

I have powercoil 65 shafts in my XV woods and love them. What shaft should I use if I build an XV 25d hybrid.

If you are looking for something in the Aerotech line, I would suggest the SteelFiber HLS 70 (which we do not offer). However, if you are looking at opening up your options, I would look for a shaft that is no lighter than 65g and probably closer to 75 - 80 grams that has a mid ball flight and could be listed as a hybrid or an iron shaft.
