Which extender (and size) would work for extending a putter?
Thanks!
Question by: Mark on Jun 7, 2013, 6:05 AM
Mark,

It will depend upon the shaft you have and how much it may have been cut down (if shorter than normal). Many of the True Temper putter shafts have a 0.600" diameter so you would use the EX600 model. However, it never hurts to measure the actual OD of the shaft to determine which one would be the best fit.

How much of an extension does this provide per club? 1/2" or 1"
Question by: James on Mar 15, 2016, 9:08 AM
James,

If you cut the extender in half (to extend two clubs), there is 3.25" that would be sticking out of the butt end. However, the most you ever want to extend a club (with the exception of a putter) is 2".

I have a shaft with a .5 inch butt end opening. Which one of your steel shaft extenders would fit best? Thanks!

If it is only has and inside diameter of 0.500" (not outside), then this is much smaller than even the 0.580" extender. You would need the PGGSE-500-GD shown here: https://www.hirekogolf.com/extenders-for-graphite-steel-golf-shafts.html
