What does the vaccum heat treated process mean as far as playabiliy goes? If there's a link that would be easier than explaining here please point the way, thanks!
Question by: Keith Wooten on Jan 31, 2014, 9:26 PM
Keith,

I don't have a link, but the process involves taking the face and exposing it to a time-temperature sequences in order to change the mechanical and/or corrosion properties or in this case tempering the material to make it harder and higher strength.

Richard,

Answer by: Richard Lin on May 9, 2014, 6:05 PM
Steel or graphite
Length differences for the above
Swing weight
I am using a lighter steel shaft in my Snake Eyes blades as I am swinging a little slower but I still strike the middle.
P.S
My irons are old fashioned standard length.

Question by: Richard on May 8, 2014, 6:37 PM
Richard,

The recommended length (men's standard) for the 18º version is 40" for graphite and 39.5" for steel.

What do I need to tip trim the iron shafts for steel and graphite shafts for the 18* driving iron? Also what should the final length be for both graphite and steel iron shafts?
Question by: Jonathan on Jul 15, 2014, 2:51 PM
Jonathan,

You would treat the 18º driving iron as if it were a 2-iron. For men's standard length, it would be 40" for graphite and 39.5" for steel.
