I see this has a high COR face, will it have similar ball speeds and distances compared to the PowerPlay Warp Speed irons which also have a high COR face?
Question by: Miles on Oct 9, 2014, 12:13 PM
Miles,

These irons will have a hotter face than the Warp Speed irons. We used the same technology as we did in the Dynacraft Driving irons to boost the COR and ball speed.

I assume that the entire head is 17-4 steel, rather than just the face plate. Is that right? If so, can this head be bent? (Any time I have tried bending 17-4 steel, it has been very difficult and I have got very little movement from it.)
Question by: Kelly on Oct 10, 2014, 6:12 PM
Kelly,

Just the forged face plate is made from 17-4, while the rest of the body is cast from 431 stainless steel. These are bendable like any cast iron (+/- 2º).

How much does it cost per club to bend 1 degree flatter?
Question by: Robert on Oct 13, 2014, 8:28 AM
Bob,

The cost is $4.50 per iron.

Is this head considered a compact head, a standard sized head or an oversize head? Can you please give the following specifications - Blade Length; Toe Height, Heel Height, Sole Width and Hosel Length. I am trying to compare this clubhead with another clubhead and the above measurements will be very helpful.

Question by: Don on Oct 20, 2014, 5:00 PM
Don,

I would describe this as midsize. As far as size, giving dimension can be tricky because not everyone measures the same way nor do those specs remain the same for all irons in the set. However, for the 5-iron, the blade length is 80mm, sole width is 23 mm, toe height is 54mm and hosel length is 60mm. Hopefully that will give you a general idea of the size.

I am trying to decide between Warpspeed club heads and new Prophet CB club heads. How do the Prophets compare to the Warpspeeds? I have a swing speed of 70mph and a 14 handicap. I prefer a game improvement club head versus a super game improvement club head. I plan to use a graphite shaft in the 65gram weight range with a midsize grip. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.
Question by: Don on Oct 24, 2014, 5:21 PM
Don,

The Prophet CB is going to be a super game improvement head and even the Warp Speed borders between the two categories. The Prophet CB has a lower and more rearward CG and thus the need for the stronger lofts to compensate.

Could you please list the bbgm and hl for these irons?

Thanks, Don
Question by: Don on Oct 27, 2014, 9:51 AM
Don,

The BBGM is 1.0" and the hosel length is just shy of 2.5".

I am 6 handicap golfer with a high ball flight. what effect will this iron have on my ball flight? do not need to hit it any higher.
Question by: mike on Nov 11, 2014, 8:39 AM
Mike,

These have stronger lofts to offset the lower and more rearward center of gravity. I would look into the shafts (flex) you are using now to see if that might not be the issue. Or if you are a tall player with an upright stance, that will naturally cause a high ball flight regardless.

I use your products, and studied all the questions you have answered. I would like a little more clarification on Don's question about the sole size. I appreciate your good answer to him, as one man's mid-size iron is another guy's over-sized. Just their opinions. I think the best measurement is how long the grooves are on the clubface.
With respect to something like your Acer React irons, which start out pretty standard sole width for the long irons and get quite wide by the sand wedge, how wide are the long and middle iron sole widths on the new Prophet CB? I like a stout sole on all my irons, and sometimes the longer irons get a bit thin. Using your method, how wide are the soles on the 3, 6, 9, and SW? Thanks!
Question by: Doc Golf on Nov 14, 2014, 6:26 AM
Doc Golf,

We used the Acer React iron as the base so the sole widths will be exactly the same through the set.

are there ladies heads available in the propht cb irons
Question by: steve on Nov 20, 2014, 1:07 PM
Steve,

Most of the time ladies clubs are the same as the men's model with the exception they get a ladies or more flexible shaft, smaller grip size and the irons 1" shorter.
