Mobile Swingweight CalculatorFor those customers who relied on Hireko's interactive clubmaking calculators previously to help them in their clubmaking and club fitting, we are happy to say some of them are back up and running.  And for those of you who have not experienced them before, you are in for a treat. The older interactive clubmaking calculators were programmed years ago and written in a format that was no longer supported by most browsers today.  That had forced us to write these from scratch, which means we have made some improvements as well.  Let us introduce you to them and what makes them different from one another.

Hireko Golf Assembled Club Swingweight Calculator

The Hireko Golf Assembled Club Swingweight Calculator is designed to measure fully assembled clubs. All you need is to weigh the club with a gram weight scale and measure the balance point of the shaft and enter those two measurements into the calculator and it will give you readings like C7, D1, etc. like a real swingweight scale.  How accurate is it?  If you can accurately weigh the club to nearest gram and the balance point to the nearest 1/8" from the end of the grip cap, it will be spot on.

Hireko Golf Club Building Swingweight Calculator

The Hireko Golf Club Building Swingweight Calculator is for clubmakers to input several variables prior to assembly and see what the result would be or see if you will achieve your desired swingweight.  Simply weigh the components on a gram weight scale and measure the club length and shaft balance point from the tip end of the shaft. We have even included a counterweight option, which you will not find anywhere.

Here are some tips. First, make sure to enter accurate measurements to obtain the best results. For example, enter component weights to the nearest 1/10th of a gram or length measurements to the nearest 1/8" if possible. Once you have balanced and marked the balance point of the shaft, make sure to measure the distance from the tip end. If you add a counterweight, make sure to adjust for the additional length. If you get an undefined result, it means that the value is outside the range of a normal swingweight scale.  In this case, double check that you entered the right amount into each field.
