The end of summer marks the return of yellow jackets and they were infecting our hummingbird feeders at home. My wife bought some commercial wasp and yellow jacket traps, and it seemed simple enough to use by adding a lure like apple juice and hanging it somewhere and presto…our yellow jacket problem would be solved. Sure enough, we had dozens of yellow jackets entering the traps within an hour of setting them out.

It is common today for a set of golf clubs to include a mix and match of different brands and/or models, especially in the scoring clubs. For many golfers, they choose to use a wedge(s) that are not part of their matching iron set, which is perfectly acceptable. In this article, we are going to explain how to properly tip trim the shafts for the flex to remain constant, so they feel like a “set”.

One of which was Rory McIlroy. According to a recent report from Todd Lewis at the Golf Channel “McIlroy drove the ball ‘beautifully’ during the two rounds on a recent trip to Augusta, where he apparently used a shorter driver shaft…” This got me pondering, what can the average golfer learn from one of the best players in the world?

Despite what the calendar says, the months of November through the first half of March are considered winter in my neck of the woods.
